- Tasks would include: answering phones, filing, greeting patients, photocopying, offering books/magazines to patients.
- Requirements for being a volunteer are as follows: an interview and a physical.
- Wear a jacket/smock while on duty
- Children's Hospital Los Angeles
- Duties include:assisting in hospital playrooms, playing board games, and reading to children
- Requirements are:
- at least 15 years of age
- 18 years of age to work with patients directly
- Good physical/mental health
- able to communicate well in English
- Willingness to volunteer 3-4 hour shifts for 8 consecutive weeks as patient/family escort
- Completing Interview and Competency Test
- Health Clearance
- Take a volunteer assessment form
