Operating Room Technician 

Duties and Responsibilities:  Before surgery:Preparing and transporting patients

During surgery: Handing over sponges, needles and other various surgical instruments 

After surgery: apply bandages and dressings

Salary:  $40,093 - $47,981

Education:  at least an associate's degree in Surgical technology. certification

Demand for this profession:  

Reflection:  I would like to start my medical career as an operating room technician because it seems like a fairly simple job to do. Besides learning things in school I can learn things more in depth about surgery and anesthetics. I feel like if I stay on track toward working in the medical field, this would be a great start. Not only because I could learn things in the operating room, but also I can decide whether or not I'd really like still be in the medical profession or not.
