Military Medical Career: Army Radiology Specialist
Duties and Responsibilities: Perform radiography; foreign body localization; prenatal, pediatric, urogenital and radio-graphic examinations of the digestive, respiratory, vascular and nervous systems; operate fixed and portable radiology equipment; prepare, assemble and adjust instruments, materials and equipment; inspect and perform operator maintenance on radiology equipment
Salary: $54,000
Education: High school diploma; must be enlisted in the US Army or National Guard
Reflection: I'd get career in the medical field starting as a Radiology Specialist, but I wouldn't make it my whole life. I think it would be a great stepping stone towards something better such as being a surgeon or veterinarian. I think as an entry level job it pays well enough to keep me afloat. Besides being a good entry-level job because of a salary, there is also the fact that I would be gaining a lot of experience about x-rays and most likely how to spot cancer. Along with the military experience, I think this is a great plan after high school if someone's mind isn't set on one particular career.
